We have team members travelling to some amazing places in 2019, and we thought we’d share their experiences as a bit of insight into what our team gets up to on their well-earned breaks.

It’s also a wonderful opportunity to window-shop potential ideas for your next getaway! So sit back, relax, and live vicariously through some of our travelling team members...

Chelsea in the Pacific Islands

"I started 2019 in the best kind of way (in my opinion) – with a beautiful, beachy, island getaway.

My partner Geoffrey and I went on a week-long cruise from Brisbane to New Caledonia where we soaked in the sunshine, listened to some amazing live music, and indulged in plenty of cocktails!

Where we went:
Noumea, Maré Island and Lifou Island

Best Bits:

1. Yejele Beach on Maré.

It honestly looked like I’d walked into a postcard in real life. Palm trees, crystal blue water, white sand, fresh coconuts and gorgeous sunshine. Spent a very relaxing day here reading, swimming, taking pictures and strolling along the beach. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather for the whole holiday, but the day we spent at Maré it was particularly marvellous.

2. Lue Jajinyi Cave on Lifou Island.

Instead of booking a cruise-organised shore tour, on Lifou we hiked ourselves down the road and paid the locals to show us the way to an underground cave. Huge, vine-covered trees towered above us as we descended down into a grotto-like valley. We followed a natural rock tunnel and came out in an underground opening with a gorgeous, cool pool of water that you could jump in from the rocks surrounding it.

3. Live music on board the ship.

There were so many incredibly talented musicians on board, which is something we truly appreciate and thoroughly enjoy.  The piano lounge bar became our go-to place after dinner to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone would sit around the piano, give requests and laugh and sing along. Shout out to the pianist Brian Barber for the amazing entertainment.

Honourable mention – there were Bollywood dance classes on board which I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in!

It was a beautiful trip, and an excellent way to start 2019."
