Run For The Kids 2019
On Sunday 7 April 2019, Team Aintree Group got up bright and early, put on their running gear and took part in Run For The Kids in support of the Royal Children's Hospital's Chronic Illness Peer Support Program (ChIPS). We had some very sore legs in the office on Monday morning - but it was all worth it to raise over $15000 for a wonderful cause!
Some very brave members of the team took on the 12.8km Long Course, and did the team proud with their efforts. They'd spent the weeks leading up to the event training together and encouraging each other, and it paid off on the day to see them hit personal bests.
Others showed great team spirit on the 5.2km Woodlea Short Course, bringing along their friends and family (prams and all) and completing
the course side by side, taking in the view from the top of the Bolte Bridge and grabbing a few happy snaps along the way.
HELP US SUPPORT THIS CAUSE
While we have surpassed our fundraising target of $15k, our fundraising page is still open, and we would greatly appreciate any additional support from clients, friends and family.
All donations made to our fundraising page will be put towards the Chronic Illness Peer Support program (ChIPS), and will go a long way to help young people in Victoria who are struggling with illness.
See all our happy snaps from the day here.
We were 55 people strong at Run For The Kids this year, which is amazing effort for a small business with a total employee count of only
25. A big thank you to all our friends, family members and clients who joined us on the course!
Very special thanks to the following businesses for going above and beyond in their support of our 2019 Run For The Kids campaign. We truly
appreciate their ongoing sponsorship, and their generousn contribution to such a wonderful cause.
ChIPs is a peer support program for young people living with a chronic medical illness.
ChIPS works to engage young people from metropolitan and rural Victoria through Eight Week Groups and Intensives, camps, socials and leadership training.
The program is currently 100% philanthropically funded via The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, and is where all our fundraising will be directed.
ABOUT RUN FOR THE KIDS
