Free Seminar: Aged Care - Know Your Options
Aged Care is a sensitive and complex topic, and unfortunately it's also something that everyone will have to face at some point in their
lives - either as a choice to make for themselves, a parent or their partner. You do have a choice, and it's incredibly important
to know the options available to you - regardless of your age!
So we provide the ultimate information point for you to educate yourself on the choices available to you and your family, and the steps you
can take now to ensure the best outcome for your loved ones later.
This seminar is free, and open to all. Even if it seems like Aged Care is not relevant to you yet, it is so important to be prepared.
Seminar Details:
Tuesday 15 October
6:30pm - 8:30pm
Aintree Group, Level 1 273 Camberwell Road, Camberwell
Are all your SMSF eggs in the one basket?
The investment strategies of Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) are under scrutiny from the ATO, who are contacting 17,700 trustees about a lack of asset diversity. The ATO is concerned that, “a lack of diversification or concentration risk, can expose the SMSF and its members to unnecessary risk if a significant investment fails.” Please note - this does not mean that you must have diversity in your fund. A lack of diversity might be a strategic decision by the trustees but you need to be able to prove that the strategy was an active decision. We highly recommend you talk to a trusted advisor about your SMSF and make sure you're in the loop about the strategies in place in case the ATO comes knocking.
Funding opportunity for manufacturers!
The "Manufacturing Modernisation Fund" provides small and medium manufacturing enterprises with co-funding of between $50,000 and $1,000,000 for capital investments and re-skilling to modernise manufacturing processes, adopt new technologies, become more productive and create jobs.
